Help Center › Analytics Dashboard
The analytics dashboard shows you how your digital business card is performing — how many times your profile has been viewed, which links visitors are tapping, and how often your contact button is used. This article explains what is tracked, where to find the data, and how to interpret it.
---
What does analytics track?
NFC Tagify collects the following interactions on your profile:
| Metric | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Profile views | Each time your profile page is loaded by a visitor |
| Link clicks | Each tap or click on any link button (LinkedIn, phone, email, website, etc.) |
| Contact button taps | Each time a visitor taps the "Save contact" or main contact button |
| QR scans | Profile views that originated from a QR code scan (where detectable) |
| NFC taps | Profile views that originated from an NFC card tap (where detectable) |
Privacy note: No personally identifiable visitor data is stored. NFC Tagify does not record who viewed your profile — only that a view occurred. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymised.

Where to find your analytics
If you do not see an Analytics link, check that your subscription plan includes analytics. [NEEDS VERIFICATION: which plans include analytics]

Metrics explained in detail
Profile views
A profile view is recorded each time your public profile URL is loaded in a browser. This includes:
- NFC card taps
- QR code scans
- Direct link shares (e.g. someone clicks a link you sent via email)
Multiple views from the same device in a short period may be de-duplicated depending on how the session is counted. [NEEDS VERIFICATION: exact de-duplication logic]
Link clicks
Each link on your profile is tracked separately. The dashboard shows you a breakdown of which links were clicked and how many times. This lets you see, for example, that your LinkedIn link gets many more taps than your website link — useful for deciding how to prioritise your profile content.
Contact button taps
This counts how many visitors tapped the primary action button (typically "Save contact" or "Add to contacts"). A high count here indicates your card is generating genuine contact saves, not just passive views.
Views by source
Where detectable, analytics breaks down views by source:
- NFC — taps from a physical NFC card
- QR — scans from a QR code
- Direct / other — visits from a shared link or unknown source
This helps you understand whether your physical card or your digital sharing is driving more engagement.
---
Filtering by date
By default, the dashboard shows data for the last 30 days. To change the date range:
You can use date filtering to compare activity across time periods — for example, to see if views spiked after a networking event or a card promotion.
---
Company analytics (admins)
Company admins can view aggregated analytics for the whole company, not just their own profile:
This gives admins visibility into how the team's cards are performing overall — useful for measuring the ROI of NFC card adoption.
---
Resetting analytics
[NEEDS VERIFICATION: whether NFC Tagify provides a reset analytics option per profile]
If a reset option is available, it is typically found in Analytics → Settings or as a button at the bottom of the analytics page. Resetting clears all historical data for your profile and starts counting from zero. This action cannot be undone.

Frequently asked questions
Why does my analytics show zero views even though I know people have tapped my card?
Check that you are looking at the correct date range. If the date filter is set to "Today" and taps happened earlier in the week, they will not appear. Also ensure your profile is set to Public — private profiles do not generate analytics data visible to visitors.
Do views include my own profile visits?
Visits from your own account when logged in to the portal are typically excluded from the count. However, if you open your profile URL in a separate browser where you are not logged in, that will count as a view.
The link click count seems much lower than the profile view count. Is that normal?
Yes, this is common. Many visitors view a profile without clicking any links — they may be reading your details, saving your contact, or simply browsing. A click-through rate of 20–40% from views to any link click is typical for digital business cards.
Can I export my analytics data?
[NEEDS VERIFICATION: whether CSV/data export is available for analytics] Check the analytics page for an Export button. If available, it will download a CSV of your analytics data for the selected date range.
How long does it take for analytics to update after a tap or click?
Data updates in near real-time — typically within a few seconds to a minute. If you tap your own card and immediately check analytics, the new view should appear shortly.
